2013 Vision Board & Photo Albums

Thursday, December 20, 2012

Tonight, I wanted to do something that would occupy my thoughts, especially since losing my dear grandmother this week. So, I decided to create a Health, Beauty, & Fitness Vision Board & Photo Albums (because all my quotes, statements, etc. will not fit entirely on the board) for 2013. I went out this cold night to get me a cork board to place in my spare room, which is my workout room as well as my home office. Basically, I'm going through those fitness magazines to get motivational quotes and statements. Some of the statements I cut out of those magazines are the following:

1. Beautiful
2. Challenging
3. Strong
4. Unlimited
5. Inspiration

Some of the quotes are the following:

1. I'm proud of my fitness journey!
2. Kiss your stubborn bodyfat goodbye!
3. Head-to-toe healthy!
4. Goals, Guts, & Glory!
5. Let the new you EMERGE!

In addition to the quotes & statements, I cut out inspirational individuals! For example, I have Jennifer Hudson & Pink (love them both) as well as other fitness models! In my album, I will put success stories from those magazines in addition to workouts! I will place pictures of myself on the Vision Board because I was a success story in the past. I have those pictures where I lost weight and was so proud of myself. I will definitely accomplish this again and utter refuse to gain this weight back!

Also into the equation, I am creating a recipe album to place recipes in it for easy access! I have a goal on my Health & Fitness Bucket List that I will cook more often rather than going out to eat all the time! Plus, I want to really clean up my eating this upcoming year along with staying within my calorie range.

I am a very visual person! So, I know the board & albums will motivate me to succeed in 2013! This little task has reminded me of a couple of verses in the Bible:

Habakkuk 2:2-3 And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and make it plain upon tables, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie, though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

With this Scripture in mind, I'm writing the vision down in order for the vision to speak and come to pass! I see a smaller version of myself by the end of 2013! So, vision, I hope you're ready because I'm coming after you with a vengence!

Great - I have two visual collages with positive statements and pictures. They are helpful, one is in my living room and one in my bedroom.

    Be blessed and spark on!!

If you were a success before then you can definitely be a weight-loss success again. I have heard that vision boards really increase your chances of reaching a goal. Since you have created 4, I think that pretty much guarantees your success!

Great job, Stevie! I, myself, am starting to see the value in setting out a plan, or goals, for the future. I am learning that what I put down on paper (or here on SP), I actually am inclined to WORK towards instead of just piddle away when I lose motivation...which is usually inevitable. Plus, having a VISION to work towards helps me to get through the lulls in momentum. Keep your eyes on the prize, Stevie! We are going to ROCK 2013!
