Sneaking in extra exercise

Thursday, December 20, 2012

Well this week most of my exercise has come from shoveling snow. We got about 10 inches and of course the wind had to come up and blow over what was shoveled the first time. But I did have a wonderful surprise this morning...a kind neighbor shoveled my front walk. I must say we have great neighbors.

I have been trying to get up from my desk more often so that I can get in a few more steps. I have a pedometer and I am going to try to reach 10,000 steps in a day not including my regular exercise which is a stationary bike.

This week has not been the easiest because we have been getting lots of treats from colleague and customers. I haven't eaten as much as I did in the past but I am not to the point of saying no.

I've never shoveled snow, but I can imagine that it would be hard work and a good exercise workout. It is great having wonderful neighbors who help each other out. This is a tempting time of year, have a good Christmas

We didn't get any snow and aren't suppose to get any either. Shoveling snow is definitely a workout. What a nice neighbor to have shoveled your front walk! Good for you for trying to get up from your desk more often and trying to get in 10,000 steps a day! emoticon

The best thing about where I'm living now is that my car is in a garage and I don't have to clean the snow off it! It's just started snowing here and winter weather advisories are posted so I think I'll be joining you in shoveling my sidewalk later today!
    Stay positive and warm!

I SO hear you! I had to shovel my car off AND clean it out before I could leave work today. Yuck!

Nice neighbor. We are expecting a foot of snow over the weekend. So I'll be shoveling. The nice thing about it is that you can track the minutes on SP. Earl emoticon
