How I did with my plan to relieve stress

Even though I am a day late for the bonus challenge, I think that it is important for me to evaluate how I did on my plan to deal with stress over the holidays.

I did begin each day by thinking of the three things I wanted to accomplish that day. Being over-whelmed by having so much to do before the family came home, I found that having 3 small tasks I knew I could accomplish worked well to keep me centered. However, the biggest problem was that the three things I wanted to do were always cleaning related. From now on, I will have 1 exercise task, 1 cleaning task, and 1 food task. I feel that as long as these remain small, I will be able to accomplish them. By having 1 task in each group, I will feel better about not neglecting any aspect of my life while I focus on another.

The sit-down job in the evening worked well for the silverware. However, when I went to polish the copper, I accidentally poisoned myself. I need to wear disposable gloves when working with solvents. Otherwise this plan worked well, and I continued to be productive even in the evening when I was tired. Plus, it prevented me from snacking. I will try to continue to keep my hands busy in the evening, and finish my knitting project if I run out of other small tasks. It is doubtful that I will run out of sit-down jobs as I have many junk containers of small things to sort through.

Ending my day by being thankful for three people in my life was a total success that I plan to keep. It helped me to sleep by being thankful and peaceful rather than stressing about how much I still had to do. I really think that being thankful before bed is a great way to end the day.

Last week was a very good challenge and so I am looking forward to the next weekly challenge for the Amethyst team.
