grateful to breathe normally

Wednesday, December 19, 2012

On Monday morning I woke up with a nasty cold. I stayed home from work and slept most of the day waking to blow my nose or drink fluids. Yesterday was better as I stayed awake most of the day, but was still not feeling human. Today I feel about 90% human. I still have some chest congestion so I am not working out until that clears up. I am prone to asthma attacks and don't want to go through that needlessly. I am doing some walking just not at a high enough intensity level for it to be counted as a workout. Right now though, I figure some movement is better than no movement.
I also have eaten alot of ice cream as it was the only thing I could handle most of monday and Tuesday. I anticipate seeing this revealed when I weigh-in. However, I know that this is part of life. Two steps forward and 1 step back.
I am truly just greatful to be able to breathe out my nose and eat solid food that doesn't kill my throat.

Oh my friend I know what you speak off! Today is day 5 I finally feel human, chicken noodle soup, water and orange juice was my surviving grace for 3 days now its soup and my teeth stopped hurting yea! Cough is there, everything is is gone or wait there is that burly voice that is still here. Hang it there, recovery is coming!
