It snuck up on me again

Christmas has snuck up on me again. I got the cards written and sent off..
Checks to the nieces and nephews and granddaughter.
All set to meet at #1 son's house for Christmas Eve.
We have always had a tradition of having a Chinese food Christmas Eve.
I used to work in food services and always worked all holidays so I would come home from work and my hubby and sons would have the house all clean and I would pick up the most expensive chinese for how ever many guests we had. We would open the presents ( except for the ones Santa would bring in the morning when my sons were smaller... Then I would be off to work.
on Christmas Day. Not much time for Teaching children about the real meaning of Christmas.
I often felt like I was a character in A Christmas Carol.
But we are going to have turkey and the trimmings and the family together.
On Christmas Day we will be visiting the religious house of each's preference.
And being thankful we have a day to remember harder times and grateful things are easier.
