iPod won't work, and I hate running without music

Monday, December 17, 2012

Well, I don't haaate it. But I do dislike it. I'd much rather run with some tunes going to distract me and help me keep my pace up.

But I think the iPod has maybe seen its last days. It's a really old one anyway, but we don't have another. And for some reason, it's in "recovery mode" and needs to be restored, but even though I'm following all the instructions for restoring it to factory settings...iTunes isn't doing it. I click "restore" and I click "okay" when it asks if I'm sure, and it starts restoring....and then it just kind of stops and nothing happens and the iPod still doesn't work. It's very aggravating.

So today I had to go running without it. It was totally boring. Well, not totally. But I would have enjoyed it more if I'd had something to listen to.

On the plus side, I did find ten cents on the ground while out running. All in pennies. On the side of the road in the middle of farm/field/forest nowhere. I claimed it as mine. :) LOL woooooo ten whole cents!

I happened to see your post. I just thought I might make a suggestion, until you can get a new ipod. Do you have a smartphone? I would download the pandora radio app. Very easy and it's free! Just plug in your headphones. The most you will have to buy is the headphone adapter, but most smartphones come with one if they don't have a jack to fit the normal headphone plug. Just use your online pandora account or build a new one (also free). Good luck. I completely understand the need for music while working out!

LOL - I swear I never see money when running! On the no music topic - you do get used to it. I stopped carrying mine in the summer because the extra gear was just too much one day. I listen to music once in a blue moon only now. I hope you can get yours to work again, though!

I'd love to help - did you try turning it off and turning it on again? Yes? Well, that's the extent of my help . . sorry.
