Slow Carb So Far

It's been a week since I started the slow carb diet. Very interesting results. On Saturday morning, I was 7.2 pounds lighter than I was on Monday morning. Saturday was the eat anything you want day, so I did. I went to a Scrap and Yap with a bunch of girlfriends, so there was plenty of good food to go around. I'm now 3.8 pounds down for the week, having gained a bit back after Saturday's binge day. According to the book this is normal, and most people are down to their pre-binge weight by Wednesday and continue to lose more weight. It's been interesting to see the weight go down every single day (except Sunday of course). That hasn't happened to me in ages. I noticed that I wasn't very hungry Sunday or today. Not sure if that's the result of binge on Saturday or what.
Overall, the diet is pretty easy to follow, and as long as I've planned ahead and brought enough food, I haven't really been hungry.
Trying to determine what to do for exercise next. The weather hasn't been great -- lots of ice the last couple of days, which makes me hesitant to run outside -- I'm worried about slipping and falling. I would like to get back to running though. I think in general the condition of the roads/sidewalks where I like to run is good enough to be safe. I'll need to get appropriate winter running gear though. Maybe a trip to Running Room over the Christmas break is in order. I'm also still sort of interested in the idea of doing the kettle bell swings outlined in the book. I don't think my gym has kettle bells for use other than with a personal trainer. I'll perhaps look into buying some.
Managed to get pretty much all of my Christmas shopping done. Now I just need to plan the menus for Christmas Eve/Day (we're hosting my family and my boyfriend's) and get the remainder of the food. I will be off from December 24th to January 2nd. Very much looking forward to it, and I have plans to get a lot of things done around the house.
