Today was one of those days, I lost control. I was so hungry and starved that I ate and ate. I feel bad about my gorging, but I won't let it bring me down. Back to my plan tomorrow.
Next week I have an Doctors appointment and I will asked him to check my blood sugars. I check them frequently, since my Dad was a very bad Diabetic. But so far I have been low ,and sometimes too low. At the last check-up , they told me it was low and that I should eat some sweets sometimes. Now when it goes low ,I feel very weak and nauseous. I just don't want to eat any sweets.
Well enough of my ramblings..... Hope everyone has a good weekend.

    Try not to look at weight loss or good health with an "all or nothing" mentality. If the only healthy thing you were to do for yourself today was drink 8 glasses of water, that's still a step in the right direction. good health isn't all or nothing. every little bit really does make a difference.

    Also, do you have enough healthy snacks on hand ? If you find that you need a little something to keep your blood sugar from dropping too low, have some fresh fruit or even a protein bar like a Kashi TLC granola bar.

    Be kind to yourself as you would to others. These things happen to us all.

    I have had days where I ate too much too. The important thing is to get back on your plan. Fruit or even milk or juice is a better way to raise your blood sugar then candy. candy is a quick rise in sugar followed by a quick fall. Cookies are the same way. Im a nurse and when we have a patient with low blood sugar who doesnt want the oral glucose gel we offer juice milk etc never candy or sweets. emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Its rare that a doctor prescribes sweets. I would incorporate fruit or maybe having juice with your meals or maybe even dark chocolate after dinner. Right now I am awaiting my fiance to come home so we can go to his work's Christmas party and I am completely starved and trying to read blogs to keep my mind off of going into the kitchen and gorging.
