Feed Your Faith and Your Fears Will Starve to Death

Friday, December 14, 2012

I have been doing some thinking and really wondering why I haven't lost this weight. Why when I see so many have taken off the weigh and kept it off, why haven't I? I think I may have figured it out, it isn't laziness, lack of planning, or lack of motivation. It is fear. I know what I have now and getting slim I don't know what that will be like, or how it will really change me.

I have started this December a book 31 days of Faith, finding joy in your anguish. Chapter 4 from this book is Faith Inspiration, I want to share some of the quotes with my friends plus keep it ready available for me.

Let your faith be bigger than your fear.

Faith is knowing one of two things will happen: there will be something solid to stand on, or you will be taught to fly.

Feed your faith and your fears will starve to death.

"I have learned that faith means trusting in advance what will only make sense in reverse." Philip Yancey

"Faith is taking the first step, even when you don't see the whole staircase." Martin Luther King, Jr.

"The future is as bright as your faith." Thomas S. Monson

Faith come from knowing the word of God.

Life is short, pray hard.

"Faith ends where worry begins. And worry ends where faith begins." George Mueller

Without faith nothing is possible; with faith nothing is impossible.

Faith never knows where it is being led, but it loves and knows the One who is leading.

Faith is not believing that God can, it is knowing that He will.

Faith is being able to risk failure. " Faith assures us of the things we expect and convinces us of the existence of things we cannot see." Hebrews 11:1

As Joyce Meyer says, "Do it afraid."

I am going to have faith in myself and in my Creator who wants a better life for me. Where I am physically is not where He wants me, it is where I have put myself. I will feed my faith and starve my fears to death.

DISPATCH91, what wonderful gifts you have offered by sharing from your heart and the book you are reading. Three of those quotes I am taking for my own because they are a perfect fit!

"Faith is knowing one of two things will happen: there will be something solid to stand on, or you will be taught to fly."

"Faith is being able to risk failure."

"As Joyce Meyer says, "Do it afraid.""

Let your faith keep leading you to a healthier lifestyle...

This was fantastic! You are so right in pointing out that it is often something within ourselves that holds us back and keeps up from moving towards our goals. Armed with this knowledge, I believe you are much better prepared to see some positive results. I wish you the best!

Thank you for this powerful message I was dealing with an issue that had me crying on Monday. I was so torn within my mind fear set in. I sat out in my car & ask the Lord to help me. What I wanted was peace about the situation. Christ gave me that peace. There are times when I have more faith & trust in my car that it will stat without even thinking about it, than I do in my heavenly father that he will take care of things when I go to Him in prayer.I needed your blog today because I am going in the same situation as of Monday so I will pull tour words that I have tucked in my heart to remind me to go to God's words I have in my heart thank you so much

If we learn to walk by faith and not by sight, and also learn how to love properly for love drives out all fears, than we will enjoy life because we are free from fear, have God's peace, and are able to overcome daily issues and challenges. God Bless YOU! Vic.
