Inter-Team Challenge-Week 1 Team Amethyst

Thursday, December 13, 2012

All right, so for this week, we're supposed to be thinking of ways to de-stress a little, especially with the holidays around the corner. Here's what I'm thinking so far...

1. Calling my best friend- I haven't physically talked to my friend, Lisa, in over a month. With me working nights, I haven't had a chance to talk to her. She's going through a divorce right now and I really want to be there for her. I'm going to try to do this Sunday afternoon.

2. Put my Christmas tree up! I am feeling stressed about not having a tree in the house. lol I know it probably doesn't sound like something big, but Christmas is my favorite holiday, and I really love having my tree up right after Thanksgiving to really make it feel more festive in my house. I haven't had time lately, but we're doing this this weekend!

3. Spend some mommy-girl time with my daughter. She's 10 years old, and on the brink of not really wanting to spend much time with me. I want to go do some girly stuff with her, maybe do our nails this weekend while her brother is bowling with his cub scout troop.

So yes, my to-do list does not include anything related to a diet or exercise plan. I'm okay with that this time. I'm still doing my best with eating better and trying to get in extra exercise minutes, and it is still a priority. But right now, the "little things" are just more important. emoticon

I know! I'm so excited about the tree...well, everything really. I start my new job Monday but have to work Saturday morning, so this weekend is going to be pretty busy, but it'll be so worth it! =D

sounds like you will be busy this weekend but after that you can relax while looking at your christmas tree lights and getting into the christmas spirit. emoticon
