Go for Chai Tea not the Chai Tea Latte

Wednesday, December 12, 2012

I just made a boo-boo, I picked the chai tea latte instead of chai tea. I just discovered (to my chagrin.) that its got 45 carbs. OMG. emoticon Ok. so this is a time for a re-do, although I don't think I will be making that error again anyway. I'm not so enamored of it that making the switch to the tea will be hard. Everyday is a learning experience. I just learned a lesson. Its ok. Why? Because I let all or nothing thinking go a long time ago. Its been 5 years since I told that idea good bye.

In other news: my ears vacillate between red and looking really good. I am applying triple antibiotic. I don't really know what the problem is, why it flares and why it doesn't.

I did my workout this emoticon morning before my breakfast. I have been struggling to do that all week. I finally did it emoticon I have successfully eliminated obvious sources of wheat like bread, pasta, cookies, and crackers. Thats two habits down, I have a few left to go. I need to get more veggies in my diet. I have tried to do the '3 c. of veggies 3x/day' but I get so full that I'm uncomfortable. So, I'm going to aim for 1 c. 3x/day and slowly work my way up.

I only tried chai tea once and did not like it. I tried Irish Breakfast tea today and I love it!!

I need to ditch the wheat as well. Hopefully I will cut back considerably after the holidays.

I gave up milk and sugar in my teas about 2 years ago. I really missed them at first but now I am fine with it. I am a avid tea drinker--8-10 cups daily. So giving up those additives has saved me quite a lot of calories.

I love the chai teas and have gotten some that did not taste good. Have not gotten ones that had milk in. Don't like milk in my teas. It covers the taste of the tea.
