Hit Rewind

Tuesday, December 11, 2012

Well last week proved to be bad eating and exercising wise. I'm back in the saddle. I increased my weekly goals because I was hitting them in 2-3 days.

On a personal note my husband was in a car accident friday night. He is ok! But the car not so lucky. The front bumper cover was taken off along with a headlight and the opposite blinker. It was a hit and run. Mike and I were worried on how we were going to pay for it. We had a 500 deductible on our insurance.

Well you know I prayed! God answered. Last night (monday night) the officer that did the report at the accident called and told us that the person was caught. Praise the Lord!

The hit and runner was a 90 year old man who was driving at night! He was in the wrong lane and trying to turn right. Which cut mike off and ripped off the bumper. The man didn't know that he had hit anyone. The man got home, saw damage to his car and called to police to report it. The officer called us to let us know. Apparently the man's family has been trying to take away his car and license for some time now. The man will now have to retest to keep it.

Bitter sweet moment

Thank God your husband is all right and that the man is all right, too.

It must be difficult to give up the independence of a driver's license. You are indeed right that it is a bittersweet moment. The outcome could have been so much worse.

Congratulations on getting back in the saddle and hitting your weekly goals so early. Keep up the great work!
