Sort of smoker no more!

Monday, April 16, 2007

So I was a heavy smoker back in the day. I smoked from the time I was about 15 untill 21. After college I decided to quit. I picked up a pair of rollerblades and a guitar instead. It worked nicely for about 3 months, and then I moved into an apartment with some friends from college - 1 was a redular smoker, the other social. Since then I've been off and on, mostly off, but I have a few a week.

My enablers are all in my kung fu school, and I'll have one or two after class when we hang out. It's time I said no thanks to that one or two. They add up and I know that it has affected my skin. When I'm drinking lots of water and not smoking any cigarettes, the quality of it (my skin) is remarkable!

It was easy to replace cigarettes with hobbies when it was back at my house, but this is a little trickier, it's social time, all hanging out! What could I possibly do with my hands then? I think I'll work on my leaning skills - leaning against a wall, that kind of thing. I think I can pull off the James Dean thing... even without a smoke! We shall see!
