Fresh start

I haven't really used SparkPeople in... years... Procrastinator is me! I didn't reset everything... I sort of like the reminder of where I left off.

I'm doing better now than I was then. I have a better program in general, though it's not beautiful, but if I put a bow on it, it might pretend to be lovely. Whatever it is, it's working for now.

I recently joined, and am completing next week, a wellness program through my employer. It was the pilot and I am pretty psyched to have been a part of it. I went from doing an hour of Zumba each week to walking on a treadmill 3 hours a week and weight circuits 2 hours a week. What a jump! I even got to try Yoga, Meditatio and a Spin Class! (My poor undercarriage! LOL)

It was a 12 week program. At the 6 week mark my stability had greatly increased, and I had lost inches, but not so much pounds, and I was okay with that, you know? I had other goals in this program that didn't necessarily involve a scale. I can also hold a plank for a minute versus the 27 seconds at the beginning and I can do more pushups (not that that was a grand number to start). Ultimately, I feel so much better now, and I hope I can carry that forward. We got a lot of information on nutrition, stress management, financial coaching, and group support.

It's an incredible program and I look forward to when the next group starts. It was so hard, but oh so worth it!

And now, I am starting to work overnights. I find I'm less snacky, which is a bonus cause my night eating was sort of kicking my rear end. Granted, this is only my first rotation so time will tell... but so far so good!
