Something Feels "Off" Part II
Sunday, December 09, 2012
On Friday, I said that I just didn't feel right. I knew I wasn't sick and it had to do with medication.
Yesterday, I spent the day resting. Except for weighing in and warming up leftovers for dinner, I did nothing. I did post on the Spark Dealing with Depression board and got a lot of support (Seriously, If you have depression issues ... go to them. I've never felt more understood)
While in my "fog" a lightbulb went off in my head last night. When my thyroid medication was refilled on Monday, I noticed the capsules looked different but never gave it a second thought.
I went to the script identifier then googled and found that many people cannot tolerate a change in thyroid hormone.
I got even more support on the Dealing with Depression board! Someone was actually familiar with this!
I called our insurance's nurse hotline this morning. He said this has been something they have heard more and more about. I kind of got the feeling he was illuding to something that drug companies don't want us to know .... generics are not all the same. I've just not experienced this before.
Given that all the symptoms I am experiencing are hypothyroidism, he felt that I was on the right track. So, I call the pharmacist tomorrow (closed today) and if I can get my usual brand, I'll be good again .... like Wednesday or Thursday.
The only expectations of myself until Thursday will be:
Eat .... healthy.

P.S. to those with Hypothyroidism: It was the "Metal Mouth" that gave it away.
