So, I ate a lot at that Christmas party. Came home and was watching a show with my husband and chatting on the computer with my sister, Margaret. That is when I felt something. At first, I thought it was all the food I ate settling. But, as I focused on it I realized, that is not a feeling I have ever had in my stomach, and I have had my share of stomach issues. Felt like I had a packet of pop rocks in my belly. Suddenly it struck me, this is the "bubbling" feeling they talk about with the quickening (the first movements of the baby). I told my sister and husband what just happened and they were both excited. My husband wanted to feel it, but I told him he wouldn't be able to, it's still too small and too far in. What I'm feeling is general movements, not actual body parts. Then, it stopped. Then about 15 minutes later it started again. And then it happened again this morning.

At 14 weeks, it's a little early for a first timer, but you can technically feel it as early as 13 weeks. Just usually with your first time it's more like 15 or 16 weeks. Oh well, I'm special, I guess. I'll have to call and tell my mom today.

You ARE special and that is simply wonderful. Can't wait until your honey is able to feel the baby moving.
