Been a while .... sorry

Saturday, December 08, 2012

Sorry for being missing in action. Lots happening.

I now have my CPAP machine and am getting used to it and feeling as though I have much more energy. Been up since 4 am this morning LOL

Re my back problem - I had 5 injections in my back yesterday, the first 2 were local anaesthetic, thank goodness! Felt fairly fragile last night, but had a good night's sleep - could roll over in bed without pain, so that was good.

A bit sore today - probably too much sitting and laying down - but need to take it a bit easy.

I have been out watering and putting the sprinkler on the garden - top was to be 35 degrees celsius. Air conditioners keeping the house cooler.

My scales broke - so I need to get a new set tomorrow - so I know how I am going.

Tracking has been a low priority as has posting into my teams. For this I apologise - but it is what it is - a lower priority at the moment.

Off to church in the morning, music organised today - will make the PowerPoint presentation first thing in the morning!

Have a great day/ night everyone and I will try very hard to be on the site more often.

Glad you are feeling better. It is a crisp -1 today with a
wind chill of -17. Guess that would cool your house.
Wood furnace is going and I have snow to shovel.
Send me a few extra degrees of heat LOL!
    Have a great day!

    Hi Karen
Thanks for your comment and kind words. It is interesting. I too have had a couple of nights when I wake up and can't get back to sleep. Last night was one of them, so I came out into the lounge room and laid on the lounge and watched TV and fell asleep there. Not the most comfortable! Didn't feel as good when I woke up - I am sure the air makes for a much better sleep!

Awww Sandy, I'm glad that you're feeling better! I'm really thrilled that you're on a CPAP machine if that's what your Dr. says you need. It gets to be a matter of life and death for some, I truly beieive. That's the way it was for my DH. He now has more energy but has a problem of getting back to sleep once he wakes up in the night with the machine on. Say like 2 PM, so that's an issue because he still gets so exhausted in the day. I know that some exhaustion has to be for a good nap, but he's too tired. He'll get it all balanced out pretty soon, I hope. How are you at getting back to sleep with it on? The tech. says that he has to force himself to keep it on! Good luck to you! And don't worry about not being here like you feel you should. You had alot going on and we do the best we can while we can. You'll get back to a normal routine and I'll welcome that! Glad to hear from you!

Hi Sandy, so glad that it is all over and you are feeling much better. Perservance is needed at the start with CPAP machines, but you will get used to it. We miss you.
