My Incredible Journey...

Since starting my incredible journey at 274 lbs, I started walking. I walked for 6 weeks, and when I started I didn't know how I could walk a mile...I just kept putting one foot in front of the other.

Week #1 of my walking challenge I walked 8.5 miles, it was hard for me, but I just kept telling myself, to just put one foot in front of the other.
Week #2 I doubled my miles, I did 17 miles...wow I was thrilled...I was really walking now. I had to break my walks up, I would walk a few miles in the morning, a few miles at lunch, and a few miles in the evenings. I couldn't do long distance, but the miles were surely adding up.
Week #3 I walked over 20 miles, I was starting to want to challenge myself...I said "Ok...I can do 25 miles next week." At the start of this week, I did my first 5K walk with my baby sister and husband. My husband ran, and my sister and I both walked. What a sense of accomplishment.
Week #4 I did it...I did over 25 miles.
Week #5 I did over 30 miles...I was really starting to surprise myself. At the end of this week, I did my 2nd 5K walk with my baby sister on June 5th 2011; my husband also did it with us, but he ran.
Week #6 I walked 34 miles (honestly that was too much for me to sustain, but I was so proud of myself).
I was on the road to better health, and this is only the beginning.

This was the beginning stages of my journey...now I have run 5K's, competed in a triathlon, climbed mountains...my life has forever changed and I love it.

I switch up my workouts often but right now my workout plan is as follows:
Swim two nights a week, Spin two nights a week, Run two nights a week (It is like doing 2 triathlons every week. Then I do core and strength training 3 times a week. I take one day of rest (which is very hard for me, but I feel renewed after that 24 hrs rest).

My lifestyle is very active, I walk where ever I can when ever I can. I climb mountains. I hike at least once a month with my cousins (we have done this for a whole year now and will continue).

This is my love for being active...





I really need to take another picture in that jogging suit but this is the last one I took...I had the jogging suit taken in once.

My incredible journey, I never want it to end!
