quite a week

Friday, December 07, 2012

this week my husband and I went to the annual holiday memorial service. They had a minister give a sermon, then they had a video tribute(hubby had submitted 5 photos of our son)then they had everyone go around and tell who they were there for and a favorite memory.about 90% of the people shared.hubby had stood up for us.then we got an ornament and they had hot apple cider and snacks.Apparently they do this every year and everyone is invited each year. Tues. a friend went with me to Hospice Night of Rememberance.they had luminaries and a placard for each and a short service.then they had refreshments.I have been working with preschoolers M-W,yesterday I did kindergarten. As I was leaving yesterday,I saw a lady I had lost touch with ,she didn't know about our son's passing.Last night I had dinner with some friends from my Griefshare group.

This has to be a difficult month for you as you near the one year mark. My heart is heavy today for all the mothers and fathers who have lost their children in such tragic ways. I'm sure you can sympathize with them.
God bless you and hubby as you go through this together. Hope your teaching jobs are fulfilling.

I was thinking about you earlier this week and how it has been about a year since your precious son passed away. You are in my thoughts and prayers!
