Putting a new plan in motion...

Every year I say I'm going to start getting ready for the holidays & get the shopping done early...and every year it ends up being December before I know it! Being back to work full time and fitting in the gym makes it even tougher to find time to do what I need to. Which in turn stresses me out and that's when I turn to carbs & sweets :( And of course that just makes me even more tired and makes it harder to get stuff done. Then I figure I'll go to the gym to work it off but I'm so tired that my gym session are harder than they should be...and not in a good way.
Soooo I'm taking control! I am not going to let the holiday season get the best of me. I've been doing lots of reading and thinking about how my body feels and reacts with certain foods. I have asthma and I notice that when I eat too many carbs/sweets, along with feeling super sluggish, I have a harder time breathing and have to rely on my inhaler...sometimes a couple times a day.
I am currently reading Practical Paleo and am going to give it a serious shot. I made a menu for next week using one of the suggested meal plans in the book.
I have a bunch of errands to run this weekend so I decided to order my groceries through PeaPod and have them delivered to me this evening...which will give me time to run a few of those errands after work today :) Then while I'm waiting for the groceries to be delivered I can do some much needed stuff around the house...including cleaning out and organizing the kitchen cabinets & fridge.
Saturday I will be putting up the Christmas decorations, mailing out our Christmas cards and shipping out some gifts. I will also be doing my prep & batch cooking on Sunday and of course will take lots of pics and post 'em! Oh and I will be using my new camera...hubby got it for me for Christmas and let me have it early
I already feel a little better having a plan of attack in place. Now just gotta get through the work day and get the weekend started!
