Well, I have one less stress. I couldn't find my original IRA CD and they told me I had to have it. I knew I didn't as I knew I just needed some Id's. I asked them if they planned to keep my money. I had had my Ira there for 10 years.
If they would of tried I would have stood at the door and told everyone who came in they wouldn't give them their money. I might have too. Can't you see me taken down town to the police station. Then they would have trouble.

THE HEADLINES A poor 83 year old woman was arrested because the bank wouldn't give her her money because she couldn't find the document.
What a story.

I had put it in with some other important papers for my niece who is my executor of my estate. Well if I couldn't find it how could she? Anyway I got rid of a bunch of stuff I didn't need and now have the document. You see I am changing banks and since I had had it there for 10 years they thought I should leave it I guess. I am putting it in a bank which pays more interest which of course is nothing as we know, but it is closer to my house.

So I will be able to sleep now. I found it. I did, I did.

I also found out on the internet that the two dollar bills I have been hoarding are worth emoticon Did you guess? Two dollars so I might as well spend them .

Irene, this blog also reminds me of the woman in the Bible who was looking for her lost coin of great value.....she swept her house clean.....called to her neighbors to help her find her great treasure.....where is your treasure? Where is my treasure?

Do you see how my mind works? LOL

Your blog is so heaven sent to me LOL

Where your heart is is where your treasure is, where your treasure is is where your heart is.....Jesus is our treausre!! emoticon emoticon

Irene, you really made me laugh with this blog. LOL.

Life gets so frustrating at times doesn't it? LOL

I am so glad you found what you were looking for and was able to complete what you wanted to get done. Praise God!!! LOL

Your story was reminding me of Jesus and how we get to heaven. We get to heaven through Jesus and His shed blood which is the only way, just like you needed that document to get out what belonged to you.

So many people think there are so many ways to heaven and Father God and there is truly only one way and the gate, the door to heaven is Jesus, His cross and His shed blood.

I was imagining people arguing that they have to be admitted to heaven because of all the good they did and all the money the gave away and other various things but they never called on the name of Jesus. They never claimed Jesus as their own personal Savior and Lord.

I just cannot seem to help myself but to see Jesus in all things that happen with people and how we think and live and react to things. LOL

Your blog is such a great message to the unsaved people of the world.

I am so glad you are going to spend that two dollars LOL

This blog did my heart so much good for today thank you so much Irene. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

So glad you are getting everything like you want it Irene. My daddy did that before Mama died--they did it together so that everything was in one place. It is amazing how well you feel when you do find that elusive item. Of course you won't need that stuff for a long, long time. (((HUGS)))

You're my mom's age. When is your birthday, Irene? I think I would do the same thing. I got ripped off by Paypal. I bought something and the person/private party never sent me what I paid for. Paypal closed the case/complaint because supposedly it was not filed within their timeline. I was NOT happy and let them know, sure, it was only $24.00 but it is the prinicple, so I let MANY people know so Paypal can be exposed for doing this to people and they they twice about using Paypal.

REJOICE !! Irene's IRA papers have been found !! emoticon

My bad is when I think of a "better" place for a record and then cannot remember anything that will lead me back to it. But I did think it was a more logical place at the time.

Now for me, I never did find the key to my safety box at the bank so I never did check to see what was in there this time home. I guess it will just have to wait for a couple more years for the next time I'm in the States. I KNOW that I did not throw the key out but where is it?

I'm so glad you found that important paper Irene, this is a big load off your mind. I don't blame you for putting it in a different bank either.

Yes, that two dollar bill worth two dollars may as well be spent!

Glad to hear you found it!!! I just don't think most banks are 'user friendly' anymore. It's all about the 'bottom line'.....theirs NOT ours!! I'm sure that gave you more piece of mind AND the bank will be closer to your home -- a win-win situation in my book!

Sometimes it takes a push like this to make us go through more stuff and tidy it up! The bonus is some money to spend or add to the CD. I ho emoticon pe it was a lot!

Way to go and good for you! It's hard to believe that this day and age, they would need document proof as with techology, you would think there would be other ways to either prove identity or they should also have a copy! Good thing that drama is over! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
