Day 5 - Digest Diet

I have made it to day 5, and I am most pleased with my mindset. It feels good to be back in the groove and making progress. I really am not that hungry and haven't had any cravings. Believe it or not what I miss most is chewing gum! It's a habit, but you aren't supposed to have any artificial sweeteners. I need to remember to bring a toothbrush or mouthwash to work. That will help with that.

This morning I progressed to phase 2 of this Diet. It is work, making everything from scratch and from ingredients that aren't "common", but everything tastes good so far. I went to the grocery store last night after bootcamp (which was a killer workout btw). It would have been an opportunity for me to back out because I didn't have ingredients, but I went looking around the store for quinoa, coconut milk, etc... Then I was up until 10:30PM making creamy quinoa for breakfast, scooping out my yogurt for snack and prepping my shake for lunch. It was much better than the morning stress I have been having all week trying to get my smoothie ready.

I am excited to have two snacks today. I was a little hungry this AM, but I held out until lunch so I could have an afternoon and evening snack since afternoon is usually my hungriest time.

My plan today is to go for a run either on the treadmill at the gym or outside (preferably). It depends if I can get myself out the door right after work or not.
