Planning is imperative~

Wednesday, December 05, 2012

That was one of the things that I found gave me success the last time I lost 60 pounds, that I planned my meals and counted my calories BEFORE I ate them instead of afterwards. I have my lunch packed for tomorrow, and between breakfast and lunch I am only looking at like 850 calories and I get to eat PLENTY of food, a plum, 2 clementines, 2 cups of watermelon, 3/4 C. Krave cereal (so I can have a sweet treat, too, that's not packed with calories!), a turkey/ham sandwich with cheese and sundried tomato wheat thins (VERY good!). All that for 850 calories, which leaves me with about 450-650 for a snack and dinner, that's very easy to do, *IF* I have something healthy like soup and salad and fish, for instance. 2 tilapia filets = 225 calories, a cup of soup = 150 (appx), and then salad, if I don't go crazy with it, maybe 200 calories? So that's almost 600 right there. My plan for tomorrow - go to class, go to the gym and do 3 or 4 weight machines (I've been doing 2 sets of anywhere from 10-20 reps at a weight I can manage), then 50 minutes on the crossramp (or if I go to Heskett Center, on the elliptical), then go somewhere and study for my spanish final, probably up at the library or at Common Grounds coffee shop, I just have to watch the creamer if I go get coffee, because 2 tablespoons alone is about 70 calories. I don't want to come home, though, right away, because I'll end up watching T.V. or somehow otherwise getting distracted and my final is on Saturday and I really need to study! Anyway, now I need to sleep so I can get up for class in the morning. I'm starting to feel optimistic again, I love it~
