I tried them today for the first time, and my arms certainly felt nice and tired afterwards, so hopefully it was a good workout! And it was nice to be able to catch up on some TV while I did it in the comfort of my own home, without being at the whim of other gym-goers in terms of what was on the single TV (or staring at myself in the mirror in silence if they wanted it off. Personally, though, I like the distraction!).
I did some of the exercises provided in the little demo worksheet that came with the bands, and I did Coach Nicole's 20 minute band workout. I love Nicole, but her workouts are very often too easy for me, and this was no exception; even when I tightened up the resistance on the bands, some of the exercises just didn't do much. Plus it was a seated workout. I don't need or want a seated workout. But it was good inspiration and I learned a few tips!
Maybe I won't miss the gym that much after all!
