Happy 2011 fellow Sparkers! It's been a year since I last added anything to my introduction here, so I thought it was due for a update!

This past year has been full of so much that I am grateful for. My initial inspiration was to become healthy more fit by my brother's wedding in October 2009. Since then, I've stayed mostly on track with my eating and exercise. I enjoy running regularly and completed my first 5K this past summer! As well, I joined a baseball team which kept me going. I travelled to Brazil and met some amazing people and am proud to say I walked the entire stretch of Copacobana with a very good friend who also shares in my journey for a healthier life. For the first time in my life I wore a bikini and wasn't shy about my bikini bod! Woo!

To come in the New Year of 2011, there is much to look forward to. I have made many great and lasting friends in 2010 which are going to help motivate me to stay on track. I'm looking forward to hot yoga sessions, training for a 10K, more latin dancing nights and a 3 month endeavour to Peru and Ecuador which will see me and a friend hike Machu Picchu and so much more!

So far in this journey I have taken my time losing weight as I want it to be something life lasting. Since joining Spark in May 2009, I have lost a total of 29lbs with about 10lbs more to lose to reach my goal and a healthy BMI. This is shaping up to be a very extraordinary year and I can't wait... ! Good luck on all of your endeavours... :)
