Day 338 ~ 27 days to go

Tuesday, December 04, 2012

Today was a day for me to spend at my mom's house. For a long time I didn't see my mom much because it seemed as if I were too busy. What a shame! Now I am trying to make it a point to go see her almost every week and help her around her house as much as I can. It works well that I go there when Paul is at the kids school for the day.

So since it was a day at Mom's I helped her work in her craft room trying to get it organize. It will take a few visits to get it done but progress was made.

Needless to say that was my workout today. If you knew what this room looked like you'd understand (sorry Mom but you know it's true) emoticon I'm very excited, Mom joined SparkPeople in 2007 with me but she hasn't been active on the site, I believe after the time I spent with her on here today she will be more active. It's a work in progress!

Tomorrow is gym day again! emoticon emoticon. emoticon here I come!! Tomorrow is weigh in day! I'm hoping for a loss (of course) but if not, I know I am making progress and that is what really counts!!

Squats today 50+ (35 for Squat-a-thon & 15+ helping in the craft room)
Wall Pushup's 50 ~ Challenge for We ARE Worth It team

Looking forward to posting my success on the scale as well as from the gym.

Good night!

My mom spent the days we were out of town with my kids. Mom used to sew a lot of my clothes when I was a kid and is a skillful seamstress. My daughter has been wanting to make a hood for one of her "cosplays" and my sewing machine doesn't sew. Mom's isn't portable and she's in the process of moving. So she and daughter, using instructions from internet, purchased fabric. My daughter drew and cut a pattern. My mom was so impressed with her concentration and interest. They are planning to get together to sew the hood with my sister's machine soon. We are so blessed to have our mothers in our lives.

It's great you are getting the time to spend with your mom and a blessing to be able to help her in her home. I'm glad she may become more active here on Spark, let me know if I can do anything to help her or help her feel more comfortable on the site.

After what we were able to do for my dad, I am very proud of you for being diligent in caring for your mom. We are making progress, even if the scale doesn't move, we can see changes in our appearance and in other ways. emoticon emoticon emoticon
