Hi everyone. Our decorating is finished. Got the living room tree trimmed today and everything else is done. All I have to do is enjoy it now. I'll be ordering the gift baskets for the family tomorrow. I have a few more cards to write out and the "special" ones to buy yet, but that's all. Later when we feel better we'll make Welsh cookies to give as gifts to our friends around where we live.

Ok, this is Max writing now. Don't I look handsome under the tree? Still not sure what two trees are doing in the house. They don't smell like trees. They have pretty dangling things on them that I like to look at. Yesterday day I was trying to eats a tree and something was sprayed on the tree when I was under the one in the music room. I didn't like the smell at all and ran out from under the tree and turned back to give the tree a dirty look. The stuff smelled orangy..citrusy and I didn't like it. I understand we cats don't like that scent at all. The big tree in the living room smelled the same way. But I got brave tonight and laid down under the living room tree and Daddy came and took my picture. But I'm not trying to eat it any more. No Way! I'm not even touching the things that dangle from the tree. I want to be a good boy so Santa will bring me lots of goodies. I don't know what as I am not into toys very much. I'm a strange one. Mommy keeps trying to get me to play with different things, but I just don't. I do like the feathers on a stick though and Mommy and I played that when I was under the futon in the music / computer room. We played that game for about 5 minutes. Then I was done. That's about it now. Time to go check things out on the screen porch. Mommy has a light on there, but outside the screen it's dark and I see all kinds of things out there that Mommy can't see.

Meow for now..
Love, Max

I definitely enjoyed your blog, Elayne. GREAT!!! So glad that you have it done and can now relax and enjoy it. I know that Max will enjoy it with you even if he doesn't like the smell. You and Arjay have been in my thoughts and prayers that you are both feeling better.

Glad you got your decorating done and the gift baskets ordered, Elayne. You have done well!

Max does look quite the picture under the Christmas tree - there's plenty of room for him to lie underneath it!

it's a good idea not to eat the dangly pretty things on the tree, Max...glad to hear you have stopped trying to do that - plus, you wouldn't want that horrible taste in your mouth, I'm sure! If you keep behaving yourself I am sure Santa will bring something very nice for you!
    Meows to you too!

Glad you got the initial decorating done. Max will help you rearrange as needed I'm sure. Our Max cat has been busy rearranging things. He thinks it's a wonderful time of the year with trees indoors and toys hanging on the tree for him!

    Have a wonderful day.

Glad things are coming together for you.

Hey Max, it's good to hear from you. The trees may smell funny, but it's better than getting sick from eating them. Have fun looking at the dangling things. I'm sure you'll get some nice things from Santa. Meow to you.

Max you do look handsome under the tree!!!!! My cat Sebestian actually liked the orange smell......we tried useing orange peels before buying the spray and Sebestian would jump up on what it was placed on(what i did not want him on) and he would pick up the peel in his mouth and carry it away LOL. So someone forgot to tell him cats are not susposed to like that smell LOL

I love to write my Christmas letters in a third person story. The dog has talked the house talks and of course we talk in reference to each other. Because we are spending our winter in our camper, I am thinking the camper is going to tell a tale of it's travels this year. Thanks for a fun little story!!
