I am determined to get 12,000 fitness minutes by the end of the year. I figured out that I need to average 65 minutes/day. I can run and chase the kids instead of talking with co-workers while we are outside. Actually I usually just walk back and forth with a kid or two holding my hand. Well, today I was running and chasing them for 20 minutes and did some power walking off and on during the day. I got home and as soon as I fed the cats I locked myself in the bedroom for my date with Leslie. Then I remembered why I got frustrated when I moved the exercise inside.
My portable DVD player won't play most of my DVDs. So instead of giving up I cleaned it yet again and went straight to the main tv in the living room. I couldn't lock the cats out, but they behaved so I didn't trip over anyone. It felt great!
My husband wants ideas for a Christmas present and I'm thinking a new DVD player for the bedroom. That way I can still get my workout in when he's playing his video game in the living room. He wants to get me a soda maker, which is rather funny because that's what I wanted last year. Now I have cut out pop on a regular basis and made him give up caffeine so it doesn't hold the same appeal.
