Life's Curves

Monday, December 03, 2012

As many of you know life put me through some curves on my journey. September 2011, I had a knee scope done. In October I got a blood clot and had to be put on Coumadin. As well as many other problems with it over this time frame. I was on that for 10 months. For those of you that don't know this medication (and I hope you never do) I had to watch my Vitamin K which everything green emoticon emoticon emoticon has lots as well as other foods. So I ended up just eating what I could and moving on. When I tried to stay on plan my levels were all over the graph. So to keep my levels where they were supposed to be I didn't eat greens. I had a test kit to use at home and tested weekly. Kinda like a diabetic would use. Needless to say I gained back all that I had lost! emoticon On October 29, 2012 I started back with SP and all my wonderful friends. emoticon emoticon emoticon I've gone back to my original goal which now was 48 pounds to remove on this journey! emoticon Oh yes, I forgot to mention I was taken off my hormone medication and can never take it again. Which is a blessing, when I thought it would be horrible! Of course I'm going through all the symptoms of menopause that I would have before! But I'm smiling! emoticon I used to drop weight fast.......... Well that is the case again. Since October 29th I have lost 19.25 pounds of the 48. I appreciate everyone who stood by me and kept in touch during this difficult time in my life! emoticon I may not post a lot but know that I am here! My life is very busy with being guardian of two adopted, adult special needs sons, my Mom who is 91 (and the most beautiful person I know) and a Mother-In-Law of 86 who is very dear! emoticon having all the benefit of the web site and all the wonderful people that I have met! emoticon I'm in it "To Win It" this time! emoticon emoticon
