I love being hungry!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not starving myself so I can feel hungry. But before I started at SparkPeople, I was never hungry. I ate my 3 meals (usually large ones) a day when I was suppose to and snacked when I was craving. I very rarely actually felt hungry.

But now, I am exercising regularly and watching what I eat. I only eat the calories allotted for me based on my weight and activity level. I eat a snack or a meal when I get hungry, but that doesn't cause me to go over my calories because I'm only eating enough to satisfy me.

Am I perfect? No. Sometimes I snack when I'm not hungry. This Friday will be dangerous because I'm going to a Christmas party (but I'm going for a long walk before it and walking home from it!). But since joining SparkPeople, I have learned to let myself get hungry and it feels great!

    ive noticed ive been eating more calories lately, i am not sure why, its not hunger...maybe stress or boredom this is something ive got to get under control before i have to really burn more and work harder just to maintain
    good luck to you and you never really have to be hungry...protein seems to stave it off for me

    Good attitude. I feel absolutely certain, since I've done it, that weight loss requires a certain feeling of hunger until the body adapts to the lower intake. Way to go!

    I love your blog. I didn't realize before counting calories that I never ever allowed myself to feel true hunger. So I know what you mean about it being a good thing. emoticon
