Happy December

Saturday, December 01, 2012

So, it's been a while. ("It's been six weeks since my last confession.")

The gall bladder removal went very smoothly - I was off the narcotics that night, off painkillers within two days and have healed up just fine with no apparent side effects. (Well, my digestion is still a bit wonky but it was before too so no change there.)

I've gotten fat. It's a fact. I haven't been to the gym in ages and haven't been watching what I eat at all.

But I've had some other things going. My dad had a heart incident, but he's fine. One of my friends had a cancer scare of a strange sort, but he's doing better; but there were rough days in the middle there. I've had a business trip to NYC and a pleasure trip to Oregon to see my family. This month I'm heading to California for business and England for the holidays. November was NaNoWriMo which wasn't well-done but was interesting. Bizzy bizzy B.

So, this is where we stand. Time to start watching the intake, and improving the output. I can do it, even though the holidays will be challenging. And I will write regularly - that is my commitment to myself for the next year.

Hey, i also started in 2006. Haven't left off Spark, but my tracking has come and gone. Had some setbacks when I had problems with neck and back that hindered exercise. Now it's joints - BUT, I have me a trusty stationary bike and it helps!

Spark has some great videos for chair stuff - my job is pretty sedentary. I invite you to check my blog of today (Dec 1) to see my helpful hints!

Enjoy your holidays! Wish I could return to Peru for mine...sigh...Shel
