Beginning the Last Month of 2012

Saturday, December 01, 2012

I welcomed December with 65 degree weather, a scale victory at Weight Watchers and an urge to do better and feel better. I forced myself, yes forced myself to put up a tree. I found a small white one with lights that fits in my bay window. I didn't decorate it, it just has lights on it. I wanted to see how it fits the room and yes it did light up nicely looking at it from the outside. I wasn't going to do any decorating, trying to cheap out an wait until December 26th and buy stuff. But i was able to use coupons and caught this tree on sale.

My heart is a bit heavy, trying to finish strong with this class, looking for funding for next round-beginning graduate school again. I miss my Mom terribly, especially this time of year. I guess that is why I forced myself to decorate a bit, to remember the reason for the season. My guy and I kind of fizzled out, kinda down a bit, but I am glad I didn't invest a lot of time and this relationship showed me what I want and what I don't want.

Next week brings a schedule shift, more studying an hopefully I will be able to attend a meet an greet for Black Girls Run. I am going to use the time off to straighten out my home, finish cleaning my apartment, getting some crafts down like knitting and sewing and pursing God more and more. Looking to do more in 2013!

I lost my Mom 4 years ago. The comfort is knowing that she's not exactly LOST - she's with the Lord, and I WILL see her again!

Pursuing God is always the best thing we can do for ourselves - and for others! I highly recommend the site settingcaptivesfree.com - they have a course called the Lord's Table to help with eating issues. Thus we can learn to do all things as unto the Lord - including our eating and drinking!
God bless you on your journey, sis. Love in Christ, Shel
