Worked out today...

Friday, November 30, 2012

I went to the Y today. I didn't get a great workout in today but I did get a workout. I got to see friends and enjoy being back in the pool. I am going away for a few days next week but plan to be back in the pool when I get home. It is good getting back in. I am hopping to get in a couple of full weeks of Y time before I end up in the hospital on the 19th. I feel that the better the shape I'm in the better the surgery and recovery will go. The best thing is that even with all the time that I have had to be away from the Y and my workout, I am not putting the weight back on. I still hove not quite reached my goal that I set for the year, but my goal is on a February to February schedule so I still have a couple of months. I think I will need those as I am going to be out of commission for at least a couple of weeks before I can work out in the pool.

Life is good at the moment. I am very busy getting ready for the holidays and I have three holiday parties scheduled for the weekend of the 14th - 16th. Getting to spend time with friends and family is what makes this my favorite time of year. Today my god daughter gave me a present. It is a really pretty butterfly necklace. I love it. So many people have checked in on me to make sure I am doing ok emotionally as well as physically. I feel blessed again to know how many people care about me.

So glad to hear that things are looking up. You seem determined and that is what you need when life tries to throw you for loops. Just keep at it and keep at it. That was sweet of your god daughter! Enjoy the season. Great job on the workout.
