Day 7: Second round of antibiotics

Thursday, November 29, 2012

Today was a rest day. emoticon I had my doctor appointment this morning. She has ordered a glucose test to make sure that I haven't developed type II diabetes because they tend to get this kind of infection. I only have 3 more days on the antibiotics. I find this whole thing to be really frustrating emoticon and I know that I really have to stay focused but my inner 'ornery' teenager doesn't want to have to work so darn hard. Well. I do have to work hard. I don't get to skip the am workout. I must do it so that my insulin receptors work. I must clear the glucose in my blood to avoid infections eating the glucose. I did get my flu shot. emoticon Yeah, no flu for me.

Here is my plan (not any different than what I've done in the past)

1. Cardio in the AM before breakfast emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
2. 1200 to 1600 calories per day, 60 grams or less of carb (net)
3. Eat my own food, log it, and weigh it.
4. Yoga every other night before bed. emoticon
5. Meditation every night before bed. emoticon
6. Round of gymnema sylvestre. emoticon 3 at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
7. 3 c. of veggies 3x/day
8. 4 tbsp. of coconut oil per day

Example of a perfect day:

6 am: Lemon drink, get ready for workout, check in on Cathe's forum.
7 am: Workout 500 cal. burn 60 min.
8 am: Shower, get ready for work. Eat 3 c. of veggies emoticon , 2 carbohydrate emoticon emoticon , 2 tbsp. of coconut oil emoticon , take gymnema
9 am: work
Noon: 3 c. of veggies emoticon , 2 tbsp. of coconut oil emoticon , take gymnema emoticon, 1 carbohydrate emoticon
12:30- 4: 30 pm: Work
5 pm: yoga, meditation
6 pm: 3 c. veggies emoticon emoticon emoticon , take gymnema emoticon
9 pm: Meditation

I have to watch my protein level. I don't tolerate proteins very well. I will fill in with olive oil, eggs, lentils, and broth for more calories to keep me at base level.

Its tough. I just feel so sleepy. emoticon

I hope the glucose tolerance test comes back normal. Good luck with the plan.

This is a rest day??? Take care fo yourself and get better. Sorry you are feeling so bad. I had my flu shot as well. When you get it-it takes a time for your immune system to process it. During that time you will be weaker and can cause yourself to become ill. So take it easy on yourself a bit. Allow yourself to heal.
