Looking for more time in the day

Thursday, November 29, 2012

I work a full time and part-time trying to get my own art business up and running. I'm a mom of a young child and in my spare time I like to dance and write. It is hard to juggle everything. I try to use the extra time at my full-time day job productively without getting in the way of my actual work I have to do there.

Some times when I get home at night after dinner, homework and getting the kid to bed I jut want to veg out watching an hour of tv before I fall into the bed myself.

I was going to zumba twice a week and before then dancing twice a week but I haven't done anything for about six months. I can add it back in but it feels like trying to shove one more pea in an already full pod.

Wow thanks guys! I have been a member here for a long time but never really participated until today. It helps getting the feedback!

I always tell myself I should do some situps or something while watching tv but then I end up getting my blanket and snuggling with my dog. LOL

I'm not sure if I can add on in the morning. I have tried in the past and the only workout that happens is my right arm muscles from hitting the snooze.

I guess I just need to stop making excuses and make it a priority.

Maybe try to do things while watching TV? Do sit ups or push ups during the commercials. If you are sitting around, use the 15ish minutes of down TV time to get some exercise in. Sometimes there just isn't a lot of time but take advantage of what comes your way. Good luck!

Could you work out early in the morning? I can relate to the evenings being difficult. It's hard because life doesn't stop just because you want to be healthy. Dinner still needs to be made, work needs to be done and your kid still needs a bath! The only time I can "add" to the day is first thing. It's not easy but it's doable. Good luck!
