I Need to Get Some Gold Stars . . . . .

. . . .to put on my calendar when I have a good day. :-D

Had another good day for food yesterday. Stuck with the plan all day. Had a little bit of a struggle, but wasn't thinking and had some pretzels for a snack. Empty carbs are probably not a good idea right now. And I met my interviewee at a Mexican restaurant - one of the worst possible choices, but it's a place I knew we could get a quiet corner and be able to hear each other and get picked up on the voice recorder. SO . . . . . . I picked a light salad with a light vinaigrette, skipped the chips, salsa, and guac, and had a club soda with lime instead of a margarita!! So dodged the bullet and stayed under calories for the day!!

On the minus side, I'm still sleeping off the cold I'm trying to get rid of and I didn't work out when I got home OR get up this morning to work out. So there's the next focus . . .back on track with the P90X and keeping my running workouts going so I can finish the C25K before the end of the year. I haven't hit the part where I have to do a week over yet. This week I have three 5 minute segments that were no trouble. Next week I have two 5s and an 8. And the next week I'm supposed to run for 25 minutes straight. Can NOT even imagine pulling that off . . . . but I've surprised myself ever week so far. But if there is a workout that is going to take me longer than a week to pull off three times, that will be the one. But I'll burn that bridge when I get to it. :-D

Tonight is happy hour, preceded by a holiday party planning meeting. I don't know if there is anything on the calendar for Friday. Everyone is out of the office, so I may work from home. If I do that, I can work through from early and then take off in time to get my ten miles in. Because Saturday and Sunday are ugly. I can probably get six miles in on Saturday, but I have to be out to Leesburg by 11 to go check out an event venue in Frederick. It's a woman owned coffee roaster that has room for up to 200 people!!! It's out of the way, but would be amazing if we could do our karaoke, line dance/two step lessons and dances, and other dances while we're supporting a small woman owned business - RIGHT???

THEN, I have to go back home and head down to Lorton for a friend's open house. THEN I have to head BACK out to Leesburg for another friend's Christmas party. I'll be doing about 200 miles on Saturday. Could have pushed the venue thing back to Sunday, except it looks like Sunday is going to be good for sailing, so I have to leave it open. We have our brunch first thing in the morning. I can probably do another six miles before that. Then sailing.

I'm back to about 85% on my health. Hopefully by Saturday I'll be back at 100%. Gonna need it. :)

Wow! I just can't get my mind around how much eating out and social events you have to attend to -you need a personal assistant to keep your commitments all straight!!! That is very inefficient having to drive back and forth twice to this Leesburg. Why do you have to be there at 11? Couldn't you see the place just before going to the Christmas party? I can't imagine them not being accommodating for a time change if they want your business.. And yes, I think it rocks that this business is owned by a woman! I hope it works out for you.
Good luck finding something healthy to eat in all those party temptations!
