I have a deck that's right outside my bedroom window. During the day I let all my cats out. I usually put dry food and water out for them then I bring it in at night. Last night I forgot to bring it in. At about 3:00 this morning I was awakened with a loud crunching noise. As it turned out there were two huge fuzzy raccoons crunching away on the cat food. They were really cute but I had to remind myself about their big fuzzy teeth. So I left there cute fuzziness alone. I turned on the outside light and it didn't even phase them. They continued to crunch away. I tried my hardest to get pictures of them. I couldn't open the window so I took some pictures of them the best I could. They were sitting at an angle that made it difficult to take the pictures. The ones I took came out kind of grainy but you can still see them.

Sooooo..... without further adieu, Here they are......

Cute yes, but oh boy are they pests when it comes to raiding cat and dog food and even bird feed in the hanging bird feeder. Garbage cans too. They drive me nuts. lol

This was always an issue where my grandparents lived. They were out in a rural area and the cat food would also draw Opossums! (Mean animals!). Just be carefull!

Haven't had this to contend with yet. In fact, even when I had all the critters inthe yard before I never had problems with coon. Guess I was lucky

I had to put our cats bowl of food in the shed because at night we had raccoons and in the day we had blue jays eating it all. emoticon
