At the beginning of this week, I set my status to reflect my 7 day goal of exercsing for at least 30 minutes every day. Sunday & Monday went well. Tuesday when I walked through my door at home, it was cold in my house, I was cold. I don't normally run the heater until it gets to the lower 60's and under...I hate that stuffiness in the air, especially when I sleep. I would rather layer on clothes and get under a blanket than run the heater.

Anyway...I wasn't feeling stripping out of my clothes to change into workout clothes nor was I feeling being in shorts and a t-shirt until I warmed up to do my workout. But I knew I had to do something and I knew that if I sat down to get under a blanket to warm up, I would get too comfy to get moving later.

Instead, I turned on the stereo and myself, all around the living room, kitchen and dining room. My dog was looking at me like I was crazy (which I'm used to) but he got over it. I did this for 35 minutes. It wasn't the best workout I've ever had but I did break a sweat and it kept me from sitting on the couch and stuffing my face.

I am determined to meet my goal...and today I've got a run in mind when I get home. Yes, it will be cold again when I get home BUT I noticed my portable electric heater in the corner of my closet this morning so I will bust it out to change into my running digs this time!

I've been in a slump for the last month and this 7 day exercise goal is serving two purposes. One, to get me out of the slump and two, to get me through this Saturday. After that I am starting my second stint of the Livefit trainer. It's a 12 week program so that will keep me focused for a while. And by the way, anyone who likes a structured program that isn't the same thing day in and day out, I highly recommend this! Yet it has enough freedom for wiggle room on occasion.

Thanks for reading my blog! Remember: stay positive!

That gives me an idea for working out today at my sister's. No equipment here, but now I remember she has Just Dance on her Wii.
Thanks... Even 30 minutes is better than none!

Couldn't help but smile when I read about you dancing around the house. I do the same thing with my 2 & 4 year old daughters. It's so much fun for everybody. And yes, my cat looks at us like were crazy just like your dog. Plus, it always makes my girls and myself happy.
    Cheer to positive workout experiences!

Way to go finding a way to get that little bit of extra fitness in! Your right. Better than doing nothing! And way better than doing nothing and stuffing your face ;-) Good luck with starting the 12 week program. I have heard great things about it. Enjoy! And of course I am staying positive :-)!
