Live Fit - Day 4

Wednesday, November 28, 2012

Well I have to tell 3 was a struggle. I think its my body response to the eating plan. All day I felt like I had a foggy brain. I couldn't concentrate on my work and I was less motivated because my energy level got lower as the day went on. Oh and I was kind of crabby. I did well on the eating plan until the end of the day and then I had a bunch of carbs. I am not going to feel guilty about over eating those carbs. I am not going to beat myself up. At that moment, my body was telling me to eat and I could have made a better choice but I wanted them.

Today is a new day and its back on the plan. Maybe I will be over that hump and not struggle so hard with the foggy brain today since I have a bunch of work to do. I used yesterday as my rest day since I was so out of it. I will be pumping some iron tonight. :)

Some exciting non-workout news is that my husband got an interview for an IT Director at military academy. He is so excited. His job is ending in February after 8 years and he just finished his IT degree and is ready to join that field. I am so happy for him. I hope he gets the job!

Good thoughts going out to you and your husband on the job!

On the diet front. One thing that worked for me and I continue to do is have a little protein snack later. I found that it helped me. I was having crazy cravings without it and I would want a mad amount of carbs if I didn't have a little something. The first week can be a little tough as your body adjusts. Listen to it and maybe add a little bit more. Another thing I found was since I couldn't take the fish oil (first round) that I wasn't getting enough fats in. Felt a whole lot better when I added a little more. Sometimes I have an extra protein shake if I am feeling low. Hang in there. You're doing great!!!
