On my program

Monday, November 26, 2012

I drank my water today and have managed what I eat so far. Yesterday, I ate a bunch of sherbet though...just couldn't stop myself! I got on the Wii Fit again today. My husband is off too and he got on it for a few minutes. He says he can't get excited about it because he is strapped for time. I wish he could get excited though because he needs to reduce as much as I do. Here's hoping he'll try it again over Christmas holidays. If you have never tried the Wii Fit, it is a fun tool for getting on track. I set a goal to lose 15 pounds in the next 3 months. I really need to concentrate! I get on every day and it lets me know my progress. I do a few of the workouts and they are kind of fun and I get to see how long I worked and how many calories burned doing it. I'm trying to get on it every day.

I was able to get a Coach Nicole video up on the Wii via the internet. The space in front of the TV is roomier for doing fitness. I made it through 1/2 of a video before stopping. I need to find a mat for the floor. I sure do hate getting on the floor! It's so hard to get off! My muscles are achy from all these different workouts I've been sampling.

Hope you are keeping the spark alive in your program. I've been reading a lot of blogs and people are struggling this time of year. Part of it is the weather and shortness of daylight. Part of it is presence of the holiday temptations. I was going to just hold steady as much as possible during this month, but I have decided to spark as brightly as I can with fitness, water, tracking, and eating. I hope to not only make it through the holiday season but to actually lose weight! The worst thing to do is to give up.

I ordered a dance game for wii, so that ought to get me moving.
I did this game while away ... with a 12 yr old girl who was good
at it, and I laughed alot, so will enjoy it at home. Having someone
play along is more fun than alone, and hope your husband gets more
    interested in the wii.

    emoticon Just emoticon ,

You don't have to be great to start, you have to start to be great! Zig Zigler

That's so true! You're doing something and that is a great start. The more you "do something" the better you'll feel.

Your note yesterday and today really helped me. You have the right attitude and it makes me so happy. Yes, push forward through the holidays - great that you set a new goal. This is so inspirational to others. Today I had my food down and got to the gym for a bit. I have Wii and should try that sometime, too.

I have a quiz that if you are interested in - about career types - that was a lot of fun. it's by a harvard big data analyst. just let me know. you may already know what you are, i had problems figuring out completely for me. there's a cost though of $15. Turns out I would be good at recruiting or promoting, fund raising... interesting stuff.

Well, thank you again for helping me. I wouldn't have gotten my food down today if it wasn't for your help!!

Great ideas for getting back on track! I just got myself a Wii system and have put the bug in DH's ear that I'd like the Wii Fit...so I think there will be one under the tree. It sounds like a lot of fun!

Great Positive attitude. Love it!! This is a tough time to stay the course,. but it is also when I was most successful last year, so I just went back and looked at my fitness and nutrition from this time last year. I now know I need to up the miles I put in each week, and I'm going to copy meals from last year this month to this month, then just make some adjustments as needed.
Think I may have to try the WII fit too. :) Sounds like you really enjoy it. Keep up the great work.

Your doing a great job!!! Rah-rah-rah!!! emoticon

Me on the other hand have fallen off the wagon and got run over by it!! Time for me to do something but I am a fair weather gal and our weather has been anything but fair!! It is currently 33 degrees out and way to cold for me and unfortunately I do not like to workout at home (I have a roommate). I love the gym but that is not feasible as I live 50 miles away from the nearest one pooh. emoticon

I just need to keep digging and find something I enjoy for the winter, unfortunately I am just not there yet!! emoticon

Sounds like you're doing ok. I'm glad you have the Wii to workout. I've heard it's a great workout tool. I would especially like that it shows your progress and calories burned. Even if it's not exactly accurate, you can still see if the number of calories burned is increasing.

    Keep pushing!

    You're gonna make it!

emoticon on keeping up. I had had the same thought a couple of weeks ago to cut back for the holidays, but then I thought why? I'll do the best I can. I have a wii fit also. I don't use it on a regular basis though, just to weigh in on Sundays. But with the cold winter temps approaching & I am already complaining about how few daylight hours we have, I may be getting it out more often. emoticon

I am right there with you! AFter my pity party the other day, I felt I had purged some of my anger and issues. I guess I just needed to hear that it was a lot for me to handle. Sometimes I am like my father and can take the weight of the world, but yesterday I was about to explode into a thousand pieces, and I thank you and everyone else for showing your support!

I would love to have a Wii Fit, but my best friend has one and doesn't hardly use it. Her husband is now working after being off for 2 years, so now she is depressed that he is not around all the time. And I do believe she may have forgotten that I promised to install toilets for her. If not, she hasn't bought them yet and I am thrilled with that.

About the disability, I am almost ready to give up. My attorney evidently sucks and I am doing all the work so she is out nothing at all. That's the problem with not having money to start the process and having to pay out of your settlement. If there is no settlement, she gets nothing. So where is the motivation? I told my father I would get a silly job and then probably get fired as I cannot do the sitting all day and office work all day and have to take a day off every few. But maybe that will give them evidence enough to see I cannot do it consistently.

I am going to go outside and take advantage of the weather and get a slow and gentle walk in. Dad has no idea what to do with himself... just a short glimpse into what retirement will be like!

Hope you are well and I bet you will lost the pounds this season. And then your hubby will catch the fitness bug too and you will both start to enjoy it together!

    Love and hugs,
    Angela
