OMG It's Working!

In my last post I was talking about Metabolism Miracle diet. I've been on it for 5 weeks and I'm down 7.5 lbs. In the past I've been thrilled to lose 2 lbs in a month. I'm feeling great, I have the energy to exercise, my energy is stable all day (no ups and downs) and my moods have evened out a lot.

It's taking some getting used to, tracking carbs instead of calories. It's so hard to know what to classify things. Low carb doesn't always mean that. Lots of label reading too (not that I'm not used to that).

I had a 4 day business trip that was difficult. I had no real say in what food was chosen. It was all buffet meals, so I just did the best I could. In some way step 1 is almost easy because there are so many "no" foods. Probably easier to just stay away from things than trying to figure out how much is "safe". But I believe I was able to stay safely on plan the whole time.

I did go off my plan for Thanksgiving dinner, but other than that.... It's strange, but unlike years past I didn't really have the desire to drag being off my diet out for the whole weekend. I am hoping to make a crustless pumpkin pie soon though. (Just need to get my cooking butt in gear!) I made zucchini muffins today and the recipe made so many that I'll be freezing about a dozen and a half. I hope I like them!
