Today i started off with not the best breakfast but not the worst either and topped it off with a smoothie i made with broccoli, carrots, and peaches and blueberries . I added about 3 oz of oj to flavor. This way i get in some veggies early in the day. Best of luck to everyone today. It is so hard and i hope im successful this time.

Wait until you have the satisfaction of it seeming like second nature to do these things. It will creep you out! I about fainted when I turned down a McDonald's cheeseburger the other day. And I know my father just left to get another one a few minutes ago. He's bored and isn't sure what to do with himself today. He's sore from our work yesterday, his sugar is a bit low so he's dizzy, and now he's out clogging his arteries! I even offered to make him a pork chop sandwich and he declined!

So just keep working the program and then one day when you sit down and look at what you are doing each day, you will see all the positive choices you are making and you will shock yourself! It was my favorite a-ha moment!

I'm always wanting to try smoothies with veggies mixed in, but too afraid I'll taste the veggies too much. I hate wasting anything, so even if I make a small amount and don't like it I'd hate that. Any suggestions on what fruits mask the taste things like broccoli or other strong tasting veggies?

Yes, it IS hard. Rethinking everything. Tracking everything. Making conscious decisions instead of mindlessly grabbing snacks or lazing about. But it also gets easier the more you do it. You just gotta stick with it and if you realize you've slipped up or made a bad decision (or a lot of bad decisions!) just pick yourself up and make a better choice the next time it comes up! Just like you did yesterday! You haven't been around SP much since August but here you are now and NOW is what matters!
