Breakthrough Weekend

It's been an awesome weekend. I've had the privilege of having two full days to myself, to do whatever I want.

- My unit is now fully spring cleaned
- I've tracked all my food (ouch blowout yesterday, yeeeehhhh underspend today)
- Done a hardcore strengths training
- Read a (short) book and bought another book (love e books!)
- Made a new friend online
- Watched a couple of movies
- Tanned my legs
- Went grocery shopping
- Made Chef Meg's roast vege soup (OMG IT'S DELISH!!!)
- Had a foot spa

All the while I've been noticing how I'm responding to the small changes that are occurring with my body. I'm so used to having fat legs with pale mottley skin that I got nervous to see my knees getting smaller and my skin getting smoother. I've always been hopeless at pampering myself, like moisturising my legs regularly, soaking my feet regularly etc etc ...

As I sat back in my chair today to relax with my feet soaking, I realised that I could do this once a week and pay attention to my skin. It's the biggest organ on our body and I neglect mine so much. I applied tanning lotion after my spa and its seems like such a simple luxury to have smooth, moisturised and tanned legs. More importantly, it's a practical way to get familiar with my changes as they occur, reducing the risk of me freaking out when I notice big changes and then sabotaging my efforts in some panic ... I dunno ... I suspect there maybe some residual 'worthy' issues that affect me, but I'm not sure ... I'll keep a tab on that :)

Anyway, it's been really fantastic to have such a relaxed weekend. The last month has been full on pressure at work, which ended on Friday with a great outcome. I'm determined to break into the 80s next week ... I'm so over the 90s!

    Amazing! What a nice, chilled weekend you had, to pamper yourself. It's soooo nice to be able to do that. You are SO right about the leg thing! I am totally guilty of doing the same. At the risk of giving too much information here (like that's ever stopped me in the past haha), since I broke up with my boyfriend I have totally neglected by leg 'maintenance'. I hardly ever shave them now, especially since it's cold outside so it's not like I'm showing them. But when I see how hairy they are it's so unattractive. My legs have always been the part of my body I dislike the most, because they've always been really big compared to my upper body. But I guess part of embracing the changes (and there's definitely been great changes) is to also make them look pretty. Thanks for the reminder. I'm gonna have a soak, a shave, exfoliation and moisturising session next weekend. 100%.
