One thing leads to another

Have you ever gotten something and then realize that you now have to get something else to go with what you just got? Oh my I hate when that happens and without realizing it I did it, again!

For those that may not know, my sister moved in with mom and I over the summer to take care of mom. We made the basement her area, put her bedroom, a living room and even an office area down there for her. The problem was that my Wii is hooked up down there so I feel like I am intruding in her space when I go down to exercise. I couldn't move my Wii up stairs because I have Netflix coming in on my tv down stairs for her. So I thought that I would buy a new Wii.

Then a friend told me about the new Wii U and I thought I would get one of them. So I put one on layaway at Walmart and it will be my Christmas present to me. My friend and I are talking about them (he got one too) and I realize that the tv that I have will not work with the new Wii. I have one of the old style box tv's upstairs and I need a flat screen to use the Wii (need HDMI)
So now I have to buy a new tv. I work at Walmart and Black Friday is coming and I can get a good deal on a tv. I have to work to set the sale so my sister and neice come to the store to stand in line for a 40" flat screen tv. So I get the tv and then I have to get a new entertainment console because the flat screen won't fit into the old entertainment center. So we go to a local store and find a really nice tv console. So the new tv console is in with the new tv on top and it looks really nice. Mom really likes the tv because it is bigger than the old one and it is easier for her to see. So my Christmas present to me turned out to be more expnsive than I anticipated so the extra's will count for my next birthday and any other holiday.

That is one expensive extra! Blimey! Looking forward to hearing that you are back up and running with your new Wii soon though. :-)

The rule of unintended consequences trumps all. Sound like you have a handle on the problem. Good on you.
