A Most Colorful Wog

Friday, November 23, 2012

We had a beautiful day in the NC Piedmont! I went for a neighborhood wog (to burn off some of yesterday's calories!) and was blessed yet again with the beauty of God's creation.

Here are a few pictures I snapped with my vintage cell phone, and some my DH snapped with his Blackberry.

This red carpet of Japanese maple leaves stopped me dead in my tracks!

I felt like Dorothy on the yellow brick road running on this Gingko covered trail.

DH caught me stretching after my wog in front of our flower-laden shrubs. (That's our baled Christmas tree in the bucket in the background!)

The sun set shortly after I finished stretching.

Art may try as it may, but it cannot truly successfully mimick nature!

Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend!

I really enjoyed your blog and the photos of God's creations. Much like yourself, I try to make time to just enjoy the moment and the view from where I am no matter what I am doing. Since joining Spark and meeting so many positively inspirational people my life has changed in so many ways that mere words cannot express the immense sense of purpose, inner peace, and personal understanding that my past does not dictate my future anymore, it's just a point of reference in my journey of life. I look forward to sharing our journeys together. Blessings always, Your Friend, "Sprink"

I am envious of all that beauty. Most of the trees on the golf course are turning brown now. A good wog and don't forget to check that you stretched 5 minutes when tracking your goals. Sounds like a good day! emoticon
