I feel like I've accomplished the impossible

Friday, November 23, 2012

As I write this entry I realize that nothing is really impossible when you put your mind to it. Going into the Thanksgiving holiday I was worried about a repeat of last year's holiday weight gain. Just before Thanksgiving 2011 I was down to 136ish lbs, enter the holidays and I entered the 140s (again sigh) and stayed. So this year I was bound and determined not to go up in weight again. Just before the holiday I was weighed myself at 148 (yikes!), well here it is Black Friday and this morning I weighed 144 :) My tracker says I tracked my weight three days ago at 144 but i don't remember I'll just count today. Even if my tracker isn't lying to me that means I maintained through the holiday, also a good thing and possibly impossible.

Another feat for the day was taking our family favorites and sneaking in fat free ingredients or reduced fat/calorie (and no one noticed). In all dishes I cut out about 100-200 calories. So goal #4 from my last blog entry has been achieved :)
