Daily Update - Nov 23rd, 2012

I had a pretty good day yesterday. I had received my Sparkpeople order the night before (a t-shirt, the Meals To Go kit and a pedometer) so it was the first day wearing my pedometer the whole day. I didn't eat perfectly but I made some healthier choices compared to normal. I also took the bus and walked for 10 minutes to get to my location instead of taking a cab. Not only does this save me money, but it helped me burn 90 calories as well. I then went walking with my friend at the mall for 30 minutes. It was a much slower pace, but still calories were burned. Here's the list for yesterday:

Must Do:

1. Do 15 min cardio - did 40 min = 2.7
2. Stay within Calorie Range - did = 1
3. Drink 8 cups water - did = 1
4. Brush Teeth - did = 1
5. Go to Meeting - did = 1

Remaining List:

1. Cook Supper OR Wash Dishes - did dishes = 1
2. Relax for 15 min - did = 1
3. Go to bed no later than 12am - went by 12:30 for sure = 0.5
4. Eat 2 freggies (lowered to try to be more consistent) - I got in 5 = 2.5
5. Have a shower - did not do = 0

11.7/5 = 234% emoticon emoticon I did it! I knew I could. I may not have done everything on my list but I did exceed or meet my goal on quite a few of them! YAY! So, I'm going to try to have another great day today, starting with a healthy breakfast before my meeting. I also think I'm off to a good start because I was still sleepy when 8am came around but I made myself get up instead of sleeping an extra hour. So, now I'm able to have breakfast before my appointment. WOO HOO! Here's the list for today:

    Looks like you had a good day. Yet another way this lifestyle can benefit us. I find that eating less food means a leaner grocery bill too. When I cut a portion in half the food lasts twice as long.
