From about 7am tomorrow, GMT.

I've had the sort of week that makes you run away and join the circus, really I have. As a result I have not been doing what the SparkDoctor ordered. No indeed and I don't know what I regret the most, all that Turkish Delight or taking the bus to the station instead of walking.

So tomorrow is a fresh start (*groan* oh no, not another one) and I plan to be out breaking in my new hiking boots (pictured) and dahn the gym and reminding myself that I promised to be a size 18 by Christmas and much more of this and my new size 18 strides won't fit any more. They have felt a bit tight round the gut today but I'm calling it gas. Or I was until 10 minutes ago when the cat found it necessary to leave the sofa abruptly and go out for some fresh air.

Please slap me in the face with a wet haddock tomorrow morning and remind me that tomorrow is anovver day and I've taken is as holiday from work. I've got big plans that may just include some long walks and fortunately the weather tomorrow and Sunday is set to be pretty good, though Saturday's is looking mingin'.

The boots are not beautiful but they fit and the proof of the hiking boot is in the number of blisters you get when walking in them.

I'm so excited about choosing a walk for tomorrow, I don't know where to start.

'Break the boots in gradually'???

Now what kind of attitude is that?

Excess in everything, I say.

Probably not a good idea to take those brand new boots on a 10 mile hike right away. Or be sure to wear thick socks to help protect against any possible blisters (and bring a couple of bandaids in case you do get one, to cover it right away.
I think the boots look great myself. Enjoy your walk. Stick to your resolve. I know you can do it.
Don't know if this is haddock, but here's the fish you ordered. Probably better to eat it than use it to beat you with!

Your boots look lovely! I don't think I've ever broken any shoes in. Life's too short! Ha ha!
Hope yours fit just fine. Can hardly wait to hear about your new walks.

What I love most about SparkPeople is that no matter how many times I start feeling I'm starting to go the wrong way, an article or someone will reinspire me to keep going. I know that as long as you're going the right way, you'll make it eventually. It's not a race, just a journey. Keep sparking! You're doing fine.

Very good. You can do it.

Wearing two pair of thin socks will help to prevent blisters. Or, if you own 'Wright' socks wear them as they have two sock layers for the same reason. emoticon

Don't forget to take your emoticon

Great boots - go for it! (but you could pack a little moleskin and a pair of nail scissors, just in case. Just saying).

Can't wait for the report on tomorrow's walk.

Not sure what a Turkish Delight is... your friends in the USA probably all overate today. I know that I did; despite holding back and being careful about my choices.

Hey the boots are as beautiful as they feel on your feet. :D

Cue organ grinder and monkey! Aren't I supposed to be nagging you? Did you drink your water? What were you thinking! Go for a walk. Okay?
Love the boots! Hope you get some great walks in this weekend.

Girl, you crack me! The cat left abruptly, indeed! Consistency is the key to losing weight, so please, keep that in mind. Don't punish yourself for what you did - Just get right back on your program at the next snack or meal. Don't skip any snacks or meals, no matter how badly you ate at the last one. You want to keep that blood sugar level and your metabolism up. The weight will come off, so long as you look at this as a lifestyle change and not just a diet. You can do this - And win!! emoticon

Oh, yeah - Nice kicks! Those should make hiking a lot more pleasant!

    I'm still laughing at:

"They have felt a bit tight round the gut today but I'm calling it gas. Or I was until 10 minutes ago when the cat found it necessary to leave the sofa abruptly and go out for some fresh air. "

Your boots look so very comfortable. I know you'll get lots of use out of them.

Looking forward to hearing about your walks.

It's okay to have Turkish Delight once in awhile. This spark change is for a lifetime so we have to make it fit our life. Enjoy your turkish delight once in awhile and really enjoy the walks you will have in your new boots. They look very pretty to me.

I'm so glad I don't live near a shop. I had a real craving for chocolate peanuts this evening. I had to settle for some banana milk instead.

So glad you're back with us.
    The boots look beautiful.
I'm very angry with you. You had Turkish Delight, and didn't share with me. They don't have such a thing here in the part of Maine where I live. I've wondered what it is ever since reading "The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe" many years ago.
    Have a great walk. emoticon

P.S. If you ever find yourself strolling around Shrewsbury say howdy to Cadfael for me.

Do we have to guess the number of blisters you will have as the next competition? LOL I sincerely hope the total is zero.

Do be wise about the blisters - they could making walking problematic for far too long!

I hope they're as kind on your feet as they were to your pocketbook.
