Thanksgiving 2012

Thursday, November 22, 2012

Although we should be thankful every day, not just on Thanksgiving, I thought I would post what I am thankful for as I take this day to reflect. Then I came to the conclusion that it would take all day and more to express my gratitude for all God has done, is doing and His promise of His ever abiding presence for the future. He is my strength, my hope, my everything. Then there is my wonderful wife, my family and friends.
And for my health!!!! After 2 and ½ years of working on His temple/my body and being on for 2 years of that time, I am so thankful for good health. The statistics say that 95% of those who lose a lot of weight will put a good amount back on. God has blessed and helped me to successfully keep it off for 39 weeks and counting. (Losing it was just half the battle. Keeping it off and making it a true lifestyle change is the other half of the battle.)

P.S. We had a great "Race against rolls" 5K today

Definitely have to have gratitude as part of EVERY day, but today it is extra special!

Being a maintainer myself (almost two years) I couldn't agree with you MORE! It takes lots of courage and determination but is soooooooo worth it.
