Daily Update - Nov 22nd, 2012

Thursday, November 22, 2012

I had a pretty good day yesterday. It was my newly proposed off day (I'm trying to get more consistent by doing 3 days per week at 15 minutes each and 10 minutes on my off days) and thus I was aiming for 10 minutes. I did 15 so that's good. I also ate within my 4 main ranges but didn't eat the greatest of things. I'll need to work on that a bit. I also need to get back up to my 8 cups of water. Overall, not a bad day. Here is the list:

Must Do:

1. Do 10 min cardio - did 15 minutes = 1.5
2. Stay within Calorie Range - did = 1
3. Drink 8 cups water - got in 6 cups = 0.75
4. Brush Teeth - did = 1
5. Go to Work - did = 1

Remaining List:

1. Cook Supper OR Wash Dishes - did not do = 0
2. Relax for 15 min - did = 1
3. Go to bed no later than 12am - went to bed by 12:30 = 0.5
4. Eat 2 freggies (lowered to try to be more consistent) - had 1 1/2 veggies = 0.75
5. Have a shower -Did not do = 0

7.5/5 = 150% So, not a bad day at all. I am trying to remember that my goal right now is simply to be working on being more consistent with short amounts of exercise rather than being inconsistent with longer workouts. So, I will try to do another 15 minutes today as well. My goal is simply 15 minutes 3 times per week, but if I do more (ie every day), then I'll make it 15 minutes on my off days and 20 minutes on my workout days or something like that. Here are today's goals:

Must Do:

1. Do 15 min cardio -
2. Stay within Calorie Range -
3. Drink 8 cups water -
4. Brush Teeth -
5. Go to Meeting -

Remaining List:

1. Cook Supper OR Wash Dishes -
2. Relax for 15 min -
3. Go to bed no later than 12am -
4. Eat 2 freggies (lowered to try to be more consistent) -
5. Have a shower -

I'm going to get this consistency thing down one day. I just know I can do it.

I read an article on how women who maintain their weights in 8 weeks then do weight loss in 28 weeks afterward got better results compare to those who did reverse. I think the idea is get consistency first, get used to the ideas first before take the next level. So what you're doing right, I strongly believe you WILL success!

Glad you are making progress. Those small chunks of exercise really do make a difference.

Oneof the things I read was to set a glass of water out the night before. Put it where you go first thing in the morning. Then it is there and you drink it. Your body dehydrates overnight and this is a awesome way to start out.
